Thinking about adding these to my 427R. Anybody have any experience with these or feedback on reliability. Site says an easy install using two sided tape. My concern is staying power with this application.

I put mine on a year ago and they are still on tight. They screw on to 3 brackets that stick on to both the paint and glass.
Takes about 30 minutes a side.

Thanks for the quick response streethorse. I didn't know about the brackets, thought the louver itself would be taped around the edges and placed on the paint. It seems like with the app. you mentioned that wind would get underneath and cause problems.

I noticed you could add 3m tape around the edges for extra support. But they put screw down brackets so you can remove and clean under there.
I have never removed mine since I dont want to strip the threads or risk loosening up the original tourqe down. Its easy enough to
clean any way. They fit realy tight so no air gets under there.

streethouse one more question please. The pics of the roush site don't show any screws. Where did you order those from. I like the idea of the screw mont.
Thanks outlaw33

What year 427R do you have? Roush has different louvers for the 2005-09 vs. the 2010-12. The 2010-12 louvers do not have the screws/brackets and mount directly to the body with the 3M tape.

I just ordered some from AM after seeing this thread. It appears the ones from them don't have screw holes. I think they'll look better without them.
