I got my LM1 RPM kit friday, I've been reading the software on it and I still don't have a real clear defintion on how to use the rpm converter. Do I need to tap into a tach wire and hook it up to the converter or does it just work with out it? Any help is appreciated thanks
Its similar to wiring up a tach/shift light. If you have an msd you wire the + into the tach port and then run a ground. If you don't have an msd you splice into the - side of the ign coil and run a ground.
Its simple but I find the rpm converter is a piece of shiit that never works 100%. The rpm datalog is always all over the place. Oh well, can't complain with the price I paid right Nate?
