Some good thoughts above...having owned several sticks over the years, I have to learn each car over as to what feels right. In my '05 GT normally around neighborhood and town 2000-3000 (depending on traffic and speed limit), onto the highway around 3000-3500 and onto the interstate around 4000-5500 (depending on the need to get on or merge). These are usually the first three gears and maybe into 4th. Once you have driven the car for a few months, you will find where you are most comfortable shifting. Each driving situation will determine the power band you need to be in at a given point. Just try to be smooth and not pop the clutch. Let off a little right before you shift. This will make for a smoother transition to the next gear. Works for me....
