Just wanted to know if anyone has or have had this problem before. THe car drives fine but whenever i come to a stop the RPM stays at 1200 and then slowly drops back down to 850. It never used to do that before the PI headswap. I was wondering if its normal or something is goign on?

I am guessing idle control issue... I don't know if the 97s had a computer controlled idle or not... may need to reset the computer.

I checked all vacuum hoses and everything is fine, the car drives very well but its when i stop at a light it takes a few seconds for the idle to drop back down to 850rpm. How will i reset the computer?

To reset the computer disconnect the bat for 10 - 15 mins and reconnect.

Im a newbie, but is it possible you need to upgrade your computer to componsate for the new setup ?

Asking/Suggestion

I have disconnted my battery several times before for over 30min and it does the same thing. I am just going to clean the IAC and see if that helps. I think spraying it with Brake Cleaner will help. Yea i have a 5.4L swap

and you have the stock tb? kind of sounds like its getting stuck, but since you had the head swap and than it started makes me think its related to that. Is it possible you need a tune?
