RPM's drop when i push in my clutch?

i just got over a bad case of a weak alternator and i replaced it with a powermaster. when i had the old alternator and with the new one, when i push in the clutch the rpms will drop from 800 to like 500-600 and the car will almost wanted to die, it has on occasion. i have an adjustable steeda clutch quadrant w/ firewall adjust. i haven't really tried anyhting yet cause when i installed the new alternator i thought the problem might go away. do you think it's too tight maybe, or maybe i should reset the idle. it's a stock clutch by the way. it's not a huge problem right now but rather annoying. :bang:

I'd try cleaning out the idle air control motor on the front of the throttle body with some carb cleaner first vs. resetting the idle. Then I'd check the t.p. voltage. If it has been a persistant problem, a clutch swap had no direct involvement.
