Cold in Toledo today so went out to garage to install the new TB.
I have a 70mm Professional products TB. I have the Trickflow upper intake off the car right now,(put in injectors, Maf, waiting on AFR) First, the gasket they gave me for the ?, it's above the TPS, (plastic with two screws) the holes were offset, the original gasket was still intact and has the two holes side by side so re-used this for now, When I went to bolt on the new TB to the TFS adaptor one out of the four holes is off enough to not let my screw it in.....NOT too big of a deal, I have three in tight now and will have to adapt a smaller diameter bolt with a lock washer and bolt........ Anyone else had similiar problems.

I hear a lot of good and bad about the PP stuff. I also have their 70mm throttle body, but haven't installed it yet. Just got my heads this past Tuesday, and I need a few more supporting parts to finally finish up my engine, so in short order I should find out. Thanks for the heads up though, I hope I don't run into a similar problem. I'll probably just elongate the hole to bring it down to the correct location if I do have any problems.

Let me know how it fits with your intake, I would just like to know out of curiousity. I was told a long time ago that entering the mods will mean some alterations and fabrications.......that's the truth. I also noticed that the idle allen screw does not touch the plate......always can get a longer screw but should not have to with a new out of the box product...

I hear ya on the new product part. I only mocked mine up with a couple bolts on opposite corners, and the fit seemed to be halfway decent anyway. I ended up getting the PP throttle body adapter for like $55 from http://www.carshopinc.com and I fully expect to have to do some work with it, but it really didn't look too bad. Just looks like 10 grit sandpaper inside from all of the casting flash, but nothing I couldn't take care of when I'm port matching everything anyway.

Ok Joe, Now that I have it bolted to my intake, which is not on the car......what are my options to make it work.........or should I sell it for junk because I am going to have nothing but trouble or what....? I trust your advice.

I just bought one and had to drill out the last hole
i was not that big of a deal but i don't want to buy something and have to fab on it, it should be right from the factory, but this is not WALGREENS
(a perfect world)

get a new gasket. the piece you are refering to iac. mine came with the gasket that did not line up also. i tried it and it makes a funny whistle. i got all new bolts for my tb. i took one of the stock studs to the part store and got some bolts. i dont remember the size but i got 4 2" and 4 1.5". i sold my pp tb a long time ago.

I don't want to add to your :bang: frustrations :bang: here :nono:

BUT

There have been similar threads like this one before where the talk was about the PP tb & iac prob.

Wish I had a fix for you. :)

You might be able to get more details and who knows, possibly a fix  with a search of this forum.
