rubber motor mounts

I noticed my fan was sagging and grinding down the housing shroud. Took a peek at my motor mounts this morning and they are definitely toast!
I am going to replace them with rubber mounts.
Should I pay the extra money for the OEM ford vert. mounts, buy the 5.0 resto vert. mount kit, or just go to NAPA/SCHUCK's.
I would think that a part like a rubber mount could be a non-ford part without any issues....right?

If you just want stock type vert mounts go to Napa or a parts store for about $60 & usually in stock and they will be fine. Or go with a Prothane / Energy Suspension for about $90 and wait a few days for shipping?

I'd agree. It's all about how much you wanna spend. The poly mounts should last forever whereas you might need to replace the parts-store mounts at some point (though they are often lifetime warranty).

You should really change the trans mount at the same time.

Our drivetrains use a 3-point mounting setup that needs to work together. If two mounts are toast, the 3rd is prob questionable.

If you go with rubber, use all 3 for rubber. If you go poly, replace all 3.

Thanks. I will pick some up at NAPA. Looks like they sell the vert. mounts as a replacement. I actually just did the trans&crossmember mounts about 2 weeks ago when I did the hpipe.
The motor mounts will definitely smooth out some rpm vibration. I think the bad mounts allow the motor to twist too much, which can move the exhaust pipes or put some stress at the connections under some high load situations, I noticed a bit of noise after I did the Hpipe.

FWIW, by '93 Ford was using the old vert mounts as the standard mount on coupes. If there's any doubt, asking for mounts for a 93 of any V8 flavor should give you vert mounts.
