Any local NW guys going make the trek to the Beach Barron's "Run to the End of the World" Car run in Long Beach, WA? (I think the actual 'show' is in Oceanside, WA just north of Long Beach) Or the run in Seaside, OR that same weekend? The event is the 11th and 12th of September for those who are interested. Trying to patch up my II to see if I can get it there. It's a pretty big NW event, so I thought I'd ask.

The West is big... REALLY BIG lol I looked into how long it would take me to get there and I figured it was about 14 hours with Ma Dam Pa Dam and the whole Dam family. *sigh* + oh say 12 MPG pulling the stang... (looks in wallet) Nope can't make it! wish I could though....

NO biggie, Mstng2, there's always next year. Besides, I'd also like to make a strong push for that all stang meet in northern WA, up near IICrazy. I keep missing that meet too! The drive from SLC is quite a ways, so it's very understandable.

I hear Ya IICrazy- I just dropped in the engine/trans tonight and have to hook up all the goodies tomarrow and HOPE TO GOD that this last used C4 I had WORKS! No time for another change, but will still go to the run either way, with or without the II. (preferrably WITH!) Al so did bodywork to the Right Rear quarter wher I had gotten whacked, looks 100x better. It'll probably jus tbe spotted in prime, definately no time to throw paint on 'er. Might even get the old man's '48 fixed real quick and drive it out there. Has a starter problem, so if the II backfires, might be able to patch his ride up and make the journey. He's just driving out his newer truck. I think in his old age, he doesn't want to have to hoof it if the car breaks down... I'm young and FAT, could use the exercise..

Keep me posted on how it's comming. I'll let you all know if I got mine moblie or not.

Yeah the roundup! I think that's the one. It's a multi-day event with a show, and the pony trails drive and all that. Heard all about it and have yet to get up there to check it out.

As for the end of the World run, outlook isn't so good for the II. Still waiting on parts and time is running out. I can't believe NOBODY in the Portland/Vancouver area stocks Weiand Tunnel Ram gaskets. Unbelieveable. Not even the right material to MAKE a pair of gaskets. Man local parts stores are really startin' to suck.

I WILL be there either way. If'n i can't get the parts in time I'll probably be driving a Bright Blue '48 Ford coupe instead.
