Running close to redline?
Hey! just a quick question. I have an 05 gt and I baby it most of the time but every once in a while I drive it hard usually showing off to some ricer. Anyways my question is how hard is it on the engine to run it close to redline, like say within 1500 rpm's? I have only done it about five times and I only let it stay there for maybe a second or two. Should I even be worrying about it or not.

Oh!! and don't forget that the paint starts to fall off and it looks like you are going the speed of light, and bolts start falling out.
I would not go too much higher unless you plan on doing some valvetrain work. Like better springs and retainers. Otherwise you will start to see valve float, which just kills your power.
