Running rich, bad fuel injectors?

I hear you. I was going to get 02's, IAC, and EGR w/sensor also, but decided to see if the module would help and run down the leak. So yeah spending $35 for a new module only and cleaning the other parts worked out well.

I should have replaced the injectors and FPR when I had the engine rebuilt. Everything else was new but my funds were low after paying for it all. With 197K prior to rebuild, everything was tired but still functioning adequately. I'm just glad I can take it out now and begin to enjoy driving it again.

Personally I would not hesitate for one second to replace ALL sensors under the hood after that many miles. After pulling the old items out and inspecting them I had no issues spending a little cash to ensure the entire system was tip top with the new engine in place...but that's just how I like to play with stuff.

I think the vacuum thing was addressed early-on in the thread - might have saved some time.

As was mentioned before, the vac signal is super critical on a SD motor.

Glad to hear you got it figured out. :nice:
