Running rich.

Plz help!! i need to get the car running good asap. I need to fix the tranny. But what i dont get is that the car is running super rich. like every puff out of the exhaust is black. Im going to give it an engine flush but i dont think thats the answer to the problem. anyways, i installed a new FPR and it has a new IAC. What do you think it is??

what codes is it spitting out? many times the ECT sensor is to blame. Basically the EFI's version of the choke. Check codes to see if its giving any faults before buying unneeded parts.

pull codes and check the 02's and make sure theyre good. check you fpr install one more time, mkae sure you have the o ring in place right, and make sure you have vaccum going to the unit, no vaccum is 8 more psi or fuel going to the injectors..

hm, ill look up the ECT thing, and as for the FPR, the vacuum line is connected to the the little fork in the intake. maybe theyre switched around?? ill try out those few things
