installed a new bbk offroad h-pipe and two new bosch o2 sensors on my 91 gt at work today and on the ride home the car was running very sluggish. it would shift into third gear by 25mph and if i mashed the gas it wouldn't even downshift. felt like the car had absolutely no power down low. car is a stock AOD except for the h pipe and flowmasters. anyone have any ideas?? thanks

Do you have the old O2 sensors? You could put them back in and see if the problem goes away. You could have a bad new sensor out of the box that is screwing up your mixture. You could also just check the new ones to see if they are running in the right voltage range I don't know which would be quicker for ya.

yes i do still have the old o2 sensors. the reason i replaced them was because the originals were still in there with 100k miles on them. how would i check to see if they were running in the right voltage range? and what should that range be?

Our NB HEGOs switch betweeen .9 (rich) and .1 volts (lean). As they age, they lose amplitude and frequency in switching.

Given what you just got done doing: did you have to mess with the TV cable at all (I have no idea if you do for an H swap, since I dont have an AOD)? If so, that's a place to start IMHO.

Good luck.

after letting the car sit for about and hour and then taking it out again it seems as thought the problem fixed itself and seems like it back to normal.maybe the computer just needed time to adjust to the new o2's.anyone ever experience that before?
