I have some surface rust and some little spots on my 66. Nothing serious but I dont want it to spread or come back. What do you recommend i use? I have heard of Rust Doctor. Any recommendations?

I like a acid etch for surface rust. Rub that around with steel wool. Doesn't heat the metal like sanding. For pitting I like sand blasting.

There are small amounts of surface rust around the windshield and back window. There are also some pitting in different places (roof, hood, etc)
por 15 is sounding good for what I need. It looks like they have a lot of good products.

For the best autopainting advice on the web go to
http://www.autobodystore.com/cgi-bin/config.pl?index
read and ask questions. You need to treat the painting as a system. I'm not sure that you get good bonding of auto paints with POR15. While you are at that site, do a search for PickleX, it is their recommended product for rust conversion.
