Rust repair on two 1965 Mustangs

Didn't you bash someone's first-gen fastback in another thread because they were cutting it up to put a M-II front suspension on it? It appears that everyone should PM you before they build a stang to see if their plan is appropriate.

Everyone in the car hobby has different tastes. That is what makes it fun. I wouldn't go to a show to see 100 vanilla 65 fastbacks. I don't want to even see two of the same thing. The Mustang hobby is about being unique and building to suit yourself. Without the 6-cyl. 1st gens, 4-cyl M-II's and Foxes, etc. the performance models we all love wouldn't exist. They all deserve respect.

Call it what you will. I assumed this person was cutting up a perfect car (sheet metal wise) to install some lame mII setup. why butcher these cars? They are perfect as-is. I consider myself a perfectionist when it comes to these cars. There is right and wrong. Some cars i see have been robbed of their true identity. They have become some over modified mustang. I understand that is America and you can do what you want. But there should be the Mustang Police to confiscate and/or ticket these people jacking with the car I love so much. say what you want in response, I am the true Mustang enthusiast.

Nope, but my convertible is extremely rusty. My convertible is also an original 6 cylinder car, so it isn't overly collectible. I'm going to fix it, not because it's important to me to own a nice '70 convertible, but because I think it will be fun to do the work - learning as I go.

I'm just saying that you should try not to judge other's decisions. It makes for entertaining e-conversations, but that's about it. I would NEVER restore an old car to original condition and I would NEVER want to own something that's rare and collectible and in perfect original condition. It's not my thing. However, I'm not going to trash those that enjoy the cars as built originally and try to keep as few miles on them as possible, etc.
