rust on new 2005??!!

I dont know much about cars, but is this typical for all NEW cars??

that would be normal, no paint = rust. nobody (manufacturers) paints driveshafts, wait a couple of months and it will all be one consistent color, rust.

Ya that kind of caught me off guard when I saw those pics too, and then I realized that it's pretty inevitable. Just suprized me at first because when you think "brand new" you tend to think perfect and shiny and stuff.

Bare metal can be rusted by humidity alone. Look at the brake disks on a car that sits for 2 days or more and there will be rust on them.

Thats just a normal thing for all cars. My grandmother's new freestar has the same rust thing goin on.

Dang, I was expecting something serious, like the Mazda6 had. This isn't terrible.
