The seat mounts in my Mustang are rusting where the rail is bolted into the floor on both the driver and passenger side. It looks like it's from snow/water coming off people's shoes. I'm no longer under the full warranty (~40k miles) but would a dealer replace these under some rust part of the warranty? If not how should I fix it? just sand off the rust then put some rustoleum where it was? It appears to just be surface rust.
