Rut RO!!!

166K on the bottom end and all these years of drag racing at Fun Ford Events and Power Fest did not help and I drive to the events as well and pray I do not break at the track. But at least this new motor will be built a little better I hope.

how does something like that happen when you are just driving around normally?
In high school when we were doing something we shouldn't have been, my buddies Escort GT blew up while idling at a red light. We had no ride home other than our parents. They weren't happy....:D

Tony, I can't wait to see pics of the carnage.

It's an omen..... I thought all last night about going back to the 75 shot and tuning for N/A just to see how low of a 14 I could get.

You helped make up my mind.

BTW - where are you getting the best deal on the Ford Long Block? That's what I've been considering for a back up if my motor goes.

Well I think you got you moneys worth out of the motor so its not too bad. But how the heck did it just blow up like that? if you ever figure out what happened let us know...I'm interested. Even my blow up last year wasn't this bad and that was at over 6000 rpms on the tollway!

The engine is in so many pieces it will be hard to say exactly what caused the problem. Alot of people I talked to said it may have been the balancer hard to say at this point. The new engine should be in by next week hopefully.
