Sad day for me and the car

Well ive been planning to turbo my car for the past several months but last night i came to a realization.....i cant do it now. At this point in my life i need a car i can get in and drive....not a car that can potentially give me problems.

Im 19 and took a year off from goin into college because i didnt know what i wanted to do or where i wanted to go. I work 2 jobs, one full time one part time. I think that the past few months i have been putting my car ahead of everything too much. I went to sleep last night realizing this.

I still have to have a car goal for after the winter though:D . Last year was 12's and i did that on a lot of stock parts. Well with the $2000 i will get for selling my turbo parts im gonna do something else. The only think im stuck on is either keeping my iron gt 40's or getting some aluminums. Its daily driven 15k april-november. So heres what im doing instead.......

-either keeping iron gt-40's with 1.7's or getting aluminums (money issue but we will see)
-trick flow track heat
-255 pump
-24 lb injectors
-75 maf, tb, and elbow
-3.55 gears, 31 spline axels and diff
-springs, shocks, cc plates, and control arms
-tune up etc. and fluid changes
-spec stage 2 and m/t dr's
-radiator and hoses
-and basically anything that needs to be replaced/fixed on my 110k car. I may even put the a/c back in.
-Oh, and my nitrous kit is going back in:Teh-Win:

Ill see 12's on motor and 11's on spray so i should be happy for a while anyway. Sorry for the long post, but this sucks:( .

94gts you can sponsor me, and buy everything you were gonna and ill take the hassles of putting the turbo, heads abd whatever else you were gonna do....that way all the stangers wont be disapointed. lol

yeah, i am with you all the way.

my turbo project went belly up when we sold our house last summer and bought the house we are in now. then this kenne-bell fell into my lap from the guy who bought the turbo setup. the install on it was much easier and now i'm happy again.

it will work out, you're young. patience, diligence, and a goal can take you a long way.

Why dont u just leave your car how it is and save that 2000$ for repairs.
Seriously, i've put like 5000 into my car last year and another 2000 this year. Thats a freaken turbo kit installed and tuned, with all the supporting parts. I've got 130,000 miles on mine. :notnice:
If you follow my advice, you'll have money in the bank to fix your car everytime is breaks. This way you dont have to sell it for next to nothing when u end up in a bind and need cash for something. Im 19 too so i know how u feel, wanting a badass rocket, but there is plenty of time to get there, and when were in our 40's, it'll help us get laid by hott 18 year olds. Just my 02 cents.

im 21 and in a money bind as well , but im hell bent on a turbo so I drive around stockish for another year or so...
All the woes of having a 12 yr old car (my car was built to self destruct PEICE BY PEICE) will keep me busy until then.

You could always save the 2000$ and wait around a bit?

save up for those aluminum heads. assuming you do all the work yourself, it'll be like 4000 grand with al heads

i dont have the 2 grand yet. i will get it from selling the turbo parts i have purchased thus far. i see my entire project costing me about 4k which is manigable. by everything i mean rear, suspension, and motor
