Saddest day of my life...

5/29/04.....saddest day ever! I sold my car. And now Christine is gone forever! I cried for hours after she left. I got a ticket the night before and i got in huge trouble by my mom so i wasn't even allowed to drive it before the guy came to take her to her new home. I must've alled like 5 times since saturday to see how she was doing. Now i'm driving my dakota. And i'm really sad because there was a car show yesterday and there is a mustang meet coming up and carisle too. Well, i guess it is time to shop for a new one! Wish me luck!

just remember its a car, and you'll own another. when I sold my uber restored fastback I didnt even cry cuz I knew I was getting another!

i know, i know, i really needed to sell it and am happy, but it was my baby. It was just the fact of how she got her name. Lol, i named her Christine because i went to turn it off one day and it kept running even after i took the keys out. Ever since then every time i've gone to show it to somone, something happens. I even got the car sold one time and the guys left a $500 deposit. He came to pick it up and freaked out because we took the radio out and he thought it came with the car. We even told him we would put it back in but he was really weird and said he had a bad feeling about it. He threatened my mom and brother and said he was going to sue us and stuff. Then the other time, a guy was really interested in it and he wanted to hear it run. So i stuck the key in and ..... turned the key again.......nothing. Damn car MADE me keep for sooo long.

Hey Steph,

Christine was sold for a good reason, and now you can move to your next one. I was really bumming back in 1990 when I sold the DCVER. Still miss it to this day! Selling CHEPSK8 was hard too, but I had a new dream to persue. All things happen for a reason, look to the future!

Well i found a 69 mach but the guy wont sell it. The search continues. My boss is buying a 69 fastback for the tranny and motor. Maybe ill just start with the rolling chassis from that

Brought back memories...55 cheby coupe, 71 Pinto, 65 Stang coupe, 62 Valiant (ugly but pretty), etc.

ya, theres days, especially at street meets, i miss sarah (65 fastback) if it wasnt for the fact I made over 6 grand off that car, id be real upset. But, I sold Sarah, paid off my loan and paid cash for Aubrey (67 coupe) so I get by. Still, nothing like a restored 38,000 original mile caspian blue fastback....

I must be missing the "good reason" for selling because non of this makes any sense to me at all.

I agree, Pak. I can't see the "good reason."

My first Mustang was totaled in a rear end, so I didn't have the "I wish I hadn't sold her" blues. She took a hit that would have killed me in my MGB and, for that, I'm thankful.

Trust me, there will be MUCH sadder days in your life! I just got back from travelling upstate for my Step-Mother's funeral, she and Dad had been married 18 years (she died the day after their anniversary!), Dad married her two years after my Mom died, and my siblings and I loved her just as dearly as we loved our mother.
