Safe Break in period???

I Just picked up my Redfire 03 on Monday. I was reading my manual, and it doesn't address break in, unless I'm missing something? Anyway what have you guys been using for break in milage? It's so hard not to get into this thing, but I don't guess 170 miles is enough.

From what i have read from others it's 1,000 mile's go easy first 100 to 500 hundred then a littel harder the next 500. change oil at 500 again at 1,000 mark. just don't keep it at the same rpm for a long time and don't use the cruise control till over the first 1,000 miles. again is what i have read from others.

I called SVT yesterday & they told me to not to go above 5500 rpm's for the first 800-900 miles, but don't baby it either. I figured he meant not to beat on it more or less. I have taken mine about there, but no higher than that. They didn't mention anything about a 500 mile oil change, but what can it hurt?

My little SVT book that I got with the car (The smaller of the 2, white cover I think) say's that the car does not require an extensive break in. Also say's that you should vary your speeds and not constantly drive it the same way...or something to that effect, does not specify mileage. When I get a chance to look at the book I'll find you the page #
