What is a safe launch RPM for a 98 Cobra using MT 10.5" slicks with a stock T45 and cluthc? I have been launching at approx. 4500 with low 1.6 60" times. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I've snapped 2 T45's both time it was 3rd & 4th gear that went out. 1st T45 was with a 75 shot, 2nd T45 was with the blower. I never had a problem launching, but torque kills T45s. Also I fried a King Cobra clutch with a 125 shot, clutch had maybe 3000 miles, it happened on my 6th time down the 1/4 with slicks. The runs weren't back to back, she had time to cool.

Low 1.6's aren't bad. Do you have any suspension work and what was your 1/8 ET and mph also what was your best 1/4 mph?

Thanks
Jake

My suspension is really better suited for road racing. However, I have the Tokico 5 ways up front and in the rear. The struts are actually the drag struts and allow me to hook pretty good at the track and handle well on the road. In the 1/8th, i'm running approximately 7.50 at about 93 mph. I consistently run 117 mph in the 1/4. However, I made a pass a few weeks ago and turned an 11.7 @ 113. I think it has an 11.50 in it.
