What can a completly stock motor with a 150k on it safely be shifted at? I no the rev limiter is set at 7000k but is that safe? Also how would I go about adjusting it?

There is no point reving a stock motor past 5,500. Most shift even before that. HP drops off pretty fast up that high.

BTW, if you are on your original balancer, and revving past 6,000, then you better expect that thing to spin apart at any time.

i shift around 5000, there isnt any power past that, so no reason to put more stress on the engine, and a nice, fast shift at 5k, will set you right back into the powerband.
