Safe to cap off the a/c and s/c vacuum lines?

I removed my A/C and I never use cruise control (gonna ditch that too) is it safe to cap off those two vacuum lines and remove them? Just doing it to clean up the engine compartment. Thanks

Im not sure about the A/C ones. Im pretty sure that they also affect the heat and that stuff, so I just left them alone. I would like to find out and possilby get rid of them.

Capping them is certainly better than leaving them open to suck in unmetered air.

Capping the small A/C line will mean that you get no vacuum to your Heater-A/C controls in your cabin. If you only need Defrost (the default postion) or none at all (race car), then this is fine.

If you would like to blow air to your body (Vent) or feet (Floor), leave it on. It goes over to a 3-way check valve that splits to the vacuum reservoir in the passenger fender and into the cabin.

Ok, guess Ill have to keep the a/c one, if you get time, anyone explain what the purpose of the s/c is? and is it safe to get rid of?

S/C stands for Speed Control normally called Cruise Control.

Nope, no other purpose. It's okay to cap the tree. No reason to cap the line. It only goes to the C/C unit in the fender, then back to the brake pedal.

If theres a certain vacuum line you removed from some a/c component, then you must cap that part off. Everything else will work fine. Seriously, there is "ONE" vacuum line that comes from the inside of the car thry the firewall. Make sure this is connected to vacuum from the intake. This is the line that lets you change from vent to defrost and feet, etc.

I know that. But he is stating he removed a vacuum line that is going nowhere, and that must be capped off. Leaving it just open like that is not wise.
