Anyone have any educated opinions on Saleen replica bodykits and what company may carry the best one? I'm considering getting the real thing off of the Saleen website. Its only $1199 for the 4pc kit and a s281 wing....not bad. But if i can save some money that would be nice. I understand that many of the replicas are made really half a$$....not looking for opinions on replica companies in general. Just whether or not there ARE any good ones out there and if anyone has one on their car...how they like it.

Thanks!!
Chris

www.downsford.com sells saleen body kits for $1095.00 They prob are real saleen body parts but I would ask and find out for sure, if not there prob pretty decent quality. Expect to pay around $1000 anyway, there places you can get them alot cheaper for the kit or individual body parts but the quality is horrible. Rule of thumb always remember..........You get what you Pay for.

Definetly, thats why I'm leaning towards the real thing. I know I cant get burned that way. Just checking to see if there are any good, lesser expensive alternatives to the real thing. I know Saleen, Steeda, etc have outragous prices on most of their stuff and half of it is just regular aftermarket parts with their name stamped on it.

Looks like i'm screwed then huh? If nothing else at least I know that theirs will bolt right on up with only minor adjustments. The Saleen kit is the only one I really like. The Cervinis and other such kits just look too space shippy to me. Saleen has nice angles and curves. Everything flows real well.

Oh well I think Geico has that all covered. Plus I'm getting my uncle to do all the labor and painting. Yeah, I had a little fender bender Friday during evening rush hour. Oooops...
