Long story short, I went to the dyno the weekend before last and was very disappointed with my results. I have a BBK cold air induction kit and a magnaflow X-pipe. Besides that, I have the factory saleen series II supercharger kit and factory borla exhaust.

As can be seen on the dyno sheet, my car is running pig rich, and it is what I believe to be causing the missing horsepower. Keep in mind that a 10:1 fuel ratio was the highest that could be displayed.

I am getting rid of the BBK unit to replace it with a Steeda one and will see if this makes any difference. Besides this, is there anything besides a custom tune that could fix this? I really don't want to remove the saleen ECU flash if I can help it. I thought maybe a Pro-M would help lean the car out, but would this be safe?

Thanks!

Why don't you want to remove the Saleen ECU flash if it isn't working?

hey i know a guy with just long tubes and an intake plenum/tb putting down those numbers. Good thing you have a blower

now go get it tuned, otherwise you are just wasting time and money

Dont get discouraged, I think you are right on track with the A/F ratio. At least you know what your problem is. As heavy as that is reading you will surely gain much power getting it to the proper level. Look at the bright side at least you didnt grenade you engine by running to lean the first time out

don't worry about it, man! you are running pig rich like you said! you lean that out to about 11.5-12 across the board, you are gonna have a mean machine on your hands, remember, LEAN IS MEAN! a nice tune, ecu flash, whatever to get your A/F ratio tweeked right, and it's all downhill from there

After I "fixed" my cars 10:1 A/F ratio, my S281-SC AUTO Trans is now making 318 RWHP & 424 RWTQ.

The A/F ratio is now 12.4:1 with my car.

Stock Saleen computer, and Eaton M90 Gen I SC are still on the car.

Thanks for the support guys. Next question...how exactly should I go about getting this fixed? I live in South Carolina about 2 hours from Atlanta.

Should I get dyno-tuned? I really do not have many days off and a long trip is out of the question. What all would I have to do to remove the Saleen flash? I have heard conflicting reports, some say I have to ship it off to Saleen, some say that any dealer can remove it.

What is the best way to make reliable power?

You NEED to get tuned if you want that thing to run right. Ask in the talk section or the regional stangnet forum for a reliable place to get a tune in your area. You will probably get at least 40-50 hp on a safe tune.
