Roush Saleen Mustang ? Real one ?

Thanks for the info about the high number of Saleens in the Pacific Northwest, I was not aware of that. My statement was really just a blanked generalization based on perception, no hard evidence. The area you guys live in must be pretty hard on cars, during the winter months, salt and snow and all of that, and, unfortunately not everybody puts their Saleens up for the Winter (but they should!) I would still assert that more Saleens went to CA, TX and FL than to Beaverton, OR? Still just guessing...Maybe that is just where the majority of the Foxbody Saleens reside now. You know, migrating to warmer climates, like retired people! lol

Unlike the northeast, salt is not used on the roads out here. On top of that, western Washington and Oregon get very little snow and winter temps are usually in the upper 30's and 40's. Cars very rarely have any kind of major rust problems and the concept of a "winter rat" is unknown here. There are just as many nice, old cars running around here as there are in SoCal.

:OT: Just jumping in with my 2 cents about Saleens - and where they are.

(3) guys in Indiana own over 25 Foxbodies by themselves. Not counting all of the others of us - There are more cars out there than anyone really knows, but you will find hot spots all over the country.

I wish more would bring them out at events for others to see and appreciate -

Someone earlier in this thread said they hated clubs and that's why owners don't bring the Saleens out of the garage, everybody is entitled to their opinions - but, man I hope that's not true - club's & their members are about all we have to keep this hobby going.

The events and gatherings that are held by these clubs, are perfect places to see, discuss and learn about these unique vehicles. Clubs aren't for everyone that's for sure, but, they offer perfect places and opportunities for these cars to be displayed and enjoyed.

Let's make a New Year's Resolution to get off the computers for one weekend this year and get your Saleen out in the public - and show it off!

I was not aware of that, that is really cool for you guys. What do the highway departments treat the roads with when you get snow and ice? Out here, in NH, you cannot run a car through the winter without doing significant damage to it. Newer cars fare a lot better, with better painting, rust inhibiting treatments, proper grounding etc. But our beloved Foxbodies cannot survive a New England Winter! Not even one, unfortunately. Maybe I should think about moving, lol!

I had a Damerow Foxbody but I sold it Dammit!! At least It has a good home and I get to still see it.

Don't tell anybody that we have mild winters......really they are terrible....Blizzards all the time.......don't move here......go to California!!!

Some guys just need a reality check on value, unless someone ignorant comes along, he'll have to lower it, just keep track of the car.
