saleen pod gauge

Anybody ever installed a saleen pod gauge on a 05 GT mustang and the gauges I bought are autometer because saleen does not offer gauges anymore. I bought the right size gauges but what do you do to make the gauge stay in the pod housing?

The only way to fit Autometer gauges is to cut into the dash. I have Nexus gauges and they look great BUT you have to be careful when you measure and cut because there isn't much margin for error. I made a template of the gauge pod, traced it onto the dash and cut inside the margins. It's nervous work but the result was great. Just cut a little at a time and dry fit until the pod (with the gauges inserted) pop into the original pod guide holes. Just remember to stay inside the template lines on all sides.

The gauges are press fit into the pod. If it's too loose just wrap electrical tape around the leading edge of the gauge until it's tight enough for your liking.
