First off i would like to thank you for reading my post. I currently own a 94 Mustang Gt 5.0. At a local corner dealership there is a 98 Saleen Mustang 4.6L without the cobra motor that is supercharged it has 45,000 miles on it and it is in really nice shape no dents are dings, no curb rash on the wheels , and the paint is clean and shines. Any guesses at what it is worth? I indicate that it is a corner dealership trying to point out that the salemen has no idea what he is talking about and just wants to sell the car. I think the price is pretty good. I am getting bored with my slow 5.0 and what some boost. There are a few questions i have though. I am not quite sure if the car is a original supercharged car or for that matter if it is a real saleen. The rear bumper does not say saleen on it. I doesn't have the big brakes on the front. I has the V-6 badging on it, the running horse on the front fenders. I have the vin number for the car and was wondering if there are any indicators of what is suppose to be on the car through the vin number? The car has a Vortech V-1 supercharger on it and it is suppose to have an eaton m90 i was told that is what a stock supercharged saleen has. The Vortech V-1 is capable of 8 psi correct? Any guesses at about how many horse that is? It sounds like it has a full mac exhaust. The reason i am nervous about it not having the correct supercharger on it is that i heard that i a car will never run right with a supercharger on it. Can you put a chip in a saleen? I have not driven the car yet it was inside the building and i was just trying to gather some info before i wanted to dive in deep.

Get the VIN and call Liz @ Saleen 1.800.888.8945 after noon PST.

If she does not answer, LEAVE A MESSAGE regarding the car and a number for her to call you back at.

The car was a non-SC from the factory. Some dealerships did Vortech installs.

The rear bumper did not say Saleen during those years.

Big brakes were an option.

If you get the VIN and car # we can check the registry for you.
