What other pieces did you get with it? Injectors, MAF, pulley?

Awesome man. Quick question. Is there a cover on the intake or a way that saleen could be covered up. I have astage 2 roush and love the design of the saleen charger, but am reluctant to put it on my car. Any help would be great.

Welcome to the club! I doubt theres a good cover but you can scratch off the Saleen lettering I guess. Don't know why anyone would want to. Looks so badass. This thing is awesome. Make sure you write down your mods on the Saleen booklet before you send it in.

Nope - I decided to have it done by a shop. Brads Custom Auto out here in Seattle.
I asked them to take pictures and I will ask again when I take it in on Monday. I want a historical series of pictures to put in the paper work I keep with the car.

The saleen s/c is tall and JDM recommended that the engine be lowered 1/2 inch. So I loose the strut tower brace and no covers. Although I am not sure why you would want to cover it. You may as well go with the roush s/c if youve already have a roush car.

Parts list
3.4" -9.5PSI saleen pulley
39# cobra injectors
Motor mounts
Saleen CAI kit
Saleen S/C kit w/Intercooler
SCT XCAL2 w/ JDM tune - 450RWHP
Belt
90mm Lightning MAF
Autometer A-Pillar gauge pod - Boost and AirFuel
Black powder coated valve covers

Price tag approx $7000.00 + $198.00 shipping
Install $1660.00

Others have covered the Saleen name, but I ask why? I think that is something to brag about. I say cover your Roush badges with Saleen ones! Just Kidding, I think Roush mustangs are kick a$$!

I would love to keep it in the Roush family. But their supercharger in my opinion is lacking, especially for the price. The design and look of the Saleen charger is just sick.

I dont know what the car will be able to do when its done, I never took it down to the track as is (see sig). I took the car down for its install today at Brad's. Will get it back wednesday or thursday!

The JDM tune is for a minimum of 450rwhp (approx 530hp) when the car is done. I wont know the exact rwhp until I dyno it. Interesting - I wonder if a stock Camaro would take it- 1998 SS-WS6 with LS1 engine only 335hp@4400 rpms. Your sig looks like a modified camaro...

From what I understand the base saleen sc tune is 435 at the engine. I am sure there are saleen owners out there that can reveal the true RWHP of their 05-06 sc saleen

Do let us know what it runs when you get back from the track. Will be insteresting.

Yes, my Camaro is modified but I do still have the factory items I mentioned and run 10s n/a. Even factory throttle body, stock 3.23 gearing and stock block. Have never had it dynoed. I have factory valves but with a 224/224cam. Our little 281 cubic inches just isn't a match for 346 inches.

Sorry dude no 224 cammed, stock head 98 ls1, will not trap 122mph without a shot of n20, unless you lightened it by 500lbs at least With a nice set of heads and full bolt on's this cam can see over 400rwhp in an auto, but thats not going to get you 122mph in the 1320.

maybe you meant 12.79@112.........its a typo happens all the time

Where's my flag............OH! here it is

BTW give the ls1 some respect they do have 340ish hp but not at 4400rpms maybe 5400............torque might be at 4400

The saleen is sweet............very nice with jdm kit..............

Didn't say it was not lightened up. My race weight was 2920# when I ran a 10.778 @ 122.64 mph, 1.444 60'. It is n/a! "12.79", an almost stock LS1 can run that with tires, the right gear and DA. My almost stock (just a Pulley) 06 stang ran a 13.42 in not great air. Almost LS1 territory.

OK, lightened with a 1.44 short time.......................Its possible..........

What converter?

Ive seen uncammed na ls1's hit 11's @ stock raceweight.

I guess cammed and lightened could go 10's .................nice pass

Yes, the new stang is pretty stout

I'll take my flag down............................

Thanks...

My LS1 is one that did an 11.9? with the factory cam way back. I bought it new in 9/98 and probably went that 11 in fall of 99.

I have a PI 3600 converter.
