I have not been able to find any #'s on the saleen intake.

And am planning on putting a fresh motor in the car this weekend.
I will be installing a b303 cam this weekend and am unsure of which intake would do more for me since I couldnt find any #'s on the saleen intake.

I already have a 73mm maf, 65mm throttlebody, 19lb injectors, long tube headers, e7 heads, catless h pipe, flowmasters, and a little bit of the giggle gas.

havent done the 4.10gears yet but as soon as I can get over the fear of too high of rpms at highways speeds (tremmec 3550 trans)
Im gonna do it.

thanks to those that will reply with solid info.

Saleen is the same as the Vortech intake, and very simliar to the Edelbrock RPM II and Holley Systemax intake. They flow very well and will pull hard up top.

Also, the Saleen intake is MAJOR $$$$$$$!! If you HAVE one, I'd put it on Ebay and sell it... and buy a set of Trick Flows or AFR's for the price you will get for the intake!

Sell it back on EBay for $850, then by the Holley version for $400 and use the other $450 for other mods.

I have a 88 saleen and I plan for a vortech some time soon. The look will all flow together. I would of paid a 1000k for it.

The saleen is for a larger displacement engine like a 347 or a supercharged car, along with the holley and the rpm II.
Value on them goes up and down. One month their worth $600 another they are worth $800. I've watch about a dozen go off on ebay.
It's definitely a good looking intake as is the rpm II, but on a 302 low end power will suffer. Making them better for the track than they are for the street.

You may want to go a bit smaller like an edel rpm. or the smaller trick flow.

I believe the opening is also meant for a TB of a minimum of 70mm on the saleen/rpm II.

K=000
therefore,
1000K = 1,000,000 = 1 million dollars

It's definately not worth that.

The Saleen intake is very kewl, major style points, but it will do nothing for your combo.

The Cobra is a nice improvement over stock, but so is everything else on the market and most if not all are better than the Cobra. You should be looking at something like a Performer, even a Performer RPM is a little much for what you listed as having.

would I do better with the gt40 then? theres a guy that really wants my saleen intake, I am not planning on going bigger than the b303 cam and other mods that are listed...Im still torn between the 3.90 and 4.10 gears though.

Well the GT40 would be better than stock, but like the Cobra, it's way more expensive than the other intakes which are going to be as good or better. The GT40 does have serious coolness factor, if you don't plan on modding your engine much more in the future. Other than FORCING more air through it, there is basically no way to improve the flow on a GT40 intake, so your stuck with what you got when you buy one.

Gears is all preference, I would do 3.90's if going with one of your choices.

Thanks to all that responded, the guy that has a gt40 intake will be taking his car down next week (someting came up today), so I will make the trade with him next week.
next weekend Everthing will be changed over at one time...
Put the b303 in, take the saleen intake off and put the gt40 on, hopefully I will be able to do the gears then too Gonna take your advice cliff and do the 3:90's

Well it gets better, I found a set of gt40p heads on e-bay new for 299. so now I will have the matching heads, intake and throw the B cam into the mix....only thing is the longtube headers have to have the 90deg boots for the sparkplugs.....
