Saleen Supercharger is on the way !!!

Congrats, man! Mine is being boxed up, just waiting on my own tracking number.

Are you planning to add some gauges? I'd like to have I/C water temp (I don't like to depend on a water pump with no way of knowing if it fails), boost, A/F and/or EGT. I don't want to use a pillar-mount pod or dash-mount pod like the one like CDC is going to produce (similar to the one in the saleen S281 SC) because I don't want my interior to look too ricey, but I need to monitor my stuff. I'm tempted to buy a WB O2 setup with a small display for A/F and a cheap/tiny boost controller like the one I had in my WRX just for the boost gauge (would probably fit under my aftermarket stereo), but there's about $700 right there. What to do, what to do.

I kinda hoped the kit would come with some basic gauges so if it doesn't yes I'll add a some someplace.

When did you order? I put my order in on 4/1 and got the tracking number today.

I called a local shop (evidently sells a lot of Saleen stuff) with connections. Got a nice discount (posted on their website) and got the right person to talk to the right person kinda thing. I just ordered this week.

It will definitely be nice if some gauges are in the box.

If you don't live in Cali, you have to mail them your PCM. Flash tool not included. :notnice:

>It dose not come with a programmer
>you have to send your pcm back to us and we will flash it.

From the website:
"
The Saleen-SC kit also includes a complete re-calibration of your Powertrain Control Module (PCM). There is no need for add on chips, or custom tuning Everything you need to make big power is included in this kit."

Translation: "Buy the Saleen SC and we will flash your ECU with our tune"

Only problem is, that flash will not have taken into account exhaust, cai, headers, x-pipe, or any other mods one may have already installed or be planning (and I'm not sure if it is made with the air filter and exhaust the S281 SC comes with).

shoot, your right, I spoke to saleen today and they did tell me the kit will come with a label to mail my pcm for them to flash. (24hr turn around)they say they will have a questionaire check list for me to check off the mods. (Headers & carbon filter trap removed) to flash the pcm. That pisses me off, :notnice: i still would have bought it though but my expectations would have been "set" better on what to expect. oh well its a done deal deal now and the ups man is on his way & i should have in on 4/29. I will need to figure out a work around when I add modifications. :bang: I guess I will just get it custom tuned locally later. I will let them flash it once so i can compare the dyno numbers to see if what is advertised is fact.

I'm still glad I will be one of the few to have a s/c 05 GT I've got 6100 miles now and have had no problems requiring dealer service.

stay tuned

Good hunting on the C6's :D

I will need some luck they - are fast I've had one and liked it alot but for the money I like my 05 Mustang GT much much more. I will have to get some fat & wide sticky tires in the back to get traction but I can't wait to suprise the stock c6's drivers. My 0-60 should be about .1 -.3 off a C6 0-60 so it will up to the driver, which means I need a better shifter because my 2 - 3 shift is not good.

Congrats guys!

Keep us posted on the fit and finish and of course the gains!

Absolutely, I hope they got it right, I hope the motor hold up for 6 - 8 months until I get one built with forged pistons. Crash, Any idea if I can put the 05 4.6 manifold on the 5.4 block & heads? That's my plan if ti will work.

Well, they can't very well make tunes for every combination of mods, there are just too many combinations, but I wish they could publish/email what they have in a form I could use to load myself. 24 hrs turnaround is good, but then there's shipping time added to the downtime. I'm going to call Superior Automotive Engineering in Anaheim tomorrow to see if they can give me a smokin deal on installation and a custom tune. If so, I might not need to have Saleen do the flashin'. Maybe I'll get hella lucky and my Steeda CAI and Diablosport Predator will show up tomorrow too.

I got a call from the shop today saying my blower should be ready sometime tomorrow, so if I get the call early enough in the day, I'll swing by to pick it up along with the suspension kit and maybe stop by Superior while I'm at it, just to check out the shop and find out how busy they are.

As for gauges, there won't be any included with the blower. Due to my limited space and desire not to clutter my dash and/or a-pillar with more gauges, today I ordered a boost controller to use for a boost gauge and a Wideband O2 with a small digital readout I'm going to use for realtime A/F.

I have the same idea about mo' powah later...I'm hoping she'll hold up to 400+ for 10 months or so, then get some forged internals and some head work...and a smaller pulley for the blower....and maybe a stronger tranny.

flipping ups

dang ups has my supercharger but they didn't deliver it today.   I waited around all day for them to show up onlyto have them tell me sorry it will be there on monday. *UCK *UCK *UCK
