same tranny in 96-04 mustangs?

Are the trannys the same in all 96-04 mustangs or do the 96-01 have a diff. tranny then the 2002-2004?Thanks.

96-part of 2001 have the T45

Part of 2001 and above have the T3650

From what i remember, the 96-98 mustang GTs came with the Warner T-45. I dont know when Ford started putting the Tremec 3650 in the GTs but i think it was around 01...

May of 2001 is when they started putting the T3650 in I believe.
