I noticed that theres sand inside the gas door of my GT. Even when I wipe it away, next time I get gas it's back. This is the same in my mom's 06 GT.

WEIRD. Anyone know?

I think they all have some sort of debris find their way inside. If it seems excessive, check to see if the fuel door is flush with the body? As long as your gas cap isnt letting sand in, I wouldnt worry about it

This was definitely supposed to be in 2005+, but I was tired when I posted it. No enemies that I know of, it's just a weird situation. Argh.

you can either get a door latch that has a lock on it (kinda unsightly) or a gas cap that has an actual key-lock configuration ON the cap as in it wont open or even turn without you disengaging the lock on the cap first.

Well, let's eliminate the obvious. You don't live near the beach, do you ?

Second, all the lawn maintenance guys use the very high-powered leaf blowers nowadays. Could they be using their equipment close to your car ?

Try parking the car in different spots than the usual ?

My car gets coated with dirt/sand/mung after the lawn crews come by ...
