Two nights ago my car got attacked and the emblems torn off. There are some pretty deep scratches and lots of glue left over. 1 emblem was only half torn off so I pushed it back against the car but I'm going to replace it. The emblem that is left the scratched are harder to see, but it's at the top, by the 3 colored bars.

I went to my car this morning and it looks like last nite they ripped off my pony (grille delete) Damn school parking lots They used quite a bit of force to get the pony off, you can see how much they had to bend the metal.

How should I fill up the scratches by the emblems? Is there an easy way to get the adhesive off?

Thanks. Oh, and where can I get new 35th side emblems?

Try using some 3M or Meguiars scratch remover and see if that helps get the scratches out. If that doesnt work, it will take sanding and painting you fenders to get it out. Im not too sure where to buy the new emblems. Here are some sites that might carry them. Sorry to hear about your car man and best of luck to you.

www.everythingmustang.com
www.muskatracing.com
www.laurelmountainmustang.com
www.uprproducts.com
www.stangstore.com
www.gefracing.com
www.partshopper.com

You can also try ordering them through your local Ford dealership.

EDIT: I added some sites and if you can use meguiars paint cleaner or a claybar system to get the glue off.

Sorry to hear about the vandalism.

I don’t have any advice for the scratches.

For adhesive, I have read of people using WD40 but I have personally used Bestine’s adhesive remover, available at arts and craft stores. I works great and leaves no residue to clean up. I have removed adhesive from emblems and factory vinyl graphics on five vehicles and never had a problem.

Damn jonjon I feel for ya... god help the soul of the person I catch doing this to my car. For the 35th emblems I got a replacement one from the dealership it was $65 dollars they had to special order it since they didn't carry it in stock took a few weeks.

Hope that helps good luck finding the pricks that did this.

That Sux.

Yes, regular WD-40 works well.
With the deep scratches:
Do a few coats of touch up paint until the surface is raised, wetsand with 2000 grit sand paper, then rubbing compound, then polishing compound, then wax.

No idea who did it since I really doubt I have enemies. Maybe people got annoyed of my Packs? They're not THAT loud I live in ghetto rice country, bumble bee's all around. I coulda pissed one of them off while cruising around.

My sister told me to get an alarm too, but all I think it does is piss people off and want to smash my car more

I'll give the WD-40 a try, thanks. Wet sanding my car sounds a little too stressful to me, maybe I'll just live with ugly touched up fenders

Thanks everyone

fordpartsnetwork.com has the emblems for $10 a piece and $18 for the Mach 1 pony.

But I'm thinking I don't want to put them while I'm at school. Will it be bad to leave those holes in the fender open? Does it matter if water gets in? Or should I plug them with something?

We, here at stangnet need to start and " protection plan " for members. Since were all located all over the USA and even Canada, we can use our reach through each other. When someone makes a hit on one of our members cars, the surrounding and closest 20 members should be dispatched to the area and begin the search. When we find them, they will never be seen again.

Those bastards. There is a slight possibility that it could be the packs, or possibly that Mustangs are a minority where you currently live....so they're not accepted.

Goo Gone may help remove the glue, but I don't know?

There are a few v6 Stangs, a GT or two, and a Camaro or two. But mostly rice rockets. Very sad.

Dont feel bad. Someone scratched the hell out of my car about 4 months after I got it. Looked like Freddy Kruger attacked my passengers side door or something. Anyways, I have tons of ricers where I live too. About every 5 minutes I'll be setting in the living room watching TV and I can hear a fart can roll up the street. I swear, they'll even go slow by my house cause theres two GTs parked here. My brothers and mine. What can I say. Jealousy is jealousy.
