I'm going to be ordering a Livewire very soon, and want to know where the best place to get it from is. I'm probably going to get it from Americanmuscle.com unless anyone else has a better place to get it from. The only reason I thought of them first was for the free shipping and one free custom tune. This thing seems to be able to do everything I'm looking for, including the shift light. The only thing I haven't seen is if it has the ability to keep my stupid traction control off. Also, is there a coupon code for americanmuscle? Thanks!

I have been shopping for one too. Yes it can turn off the traction controll and even that dumb shift up arrow or change the point it comes on. Its 569 at 50 rest too and thats where I was planning on going. If I had the money right now I would buy the one on ebay for $400. Its used but in great shape and comes with everything a new one does. They all come with a free tune, you can add three more custom tunes at a dyno shop that sells them that will get a few more horses for the way your car is setup. Their is a code for a discount and I think its stangnet but I am not positive When you get it let me know how you like it, I know its 200 bucks more than the hand held ones but having the display and dyno option seems worth it IMO. I didnt want to run extra gauges and this can show air/fuel and fuel pressure and boost and all the other great stuff

The one on ebay only has four hous left and the bid is at $305 so if you have the cash I would hop on it. IDK if we can post ebay links or not. If not I am sorry mods and please remove it and I will take the thousand lashes with the wet noodle

Yeah, I saw that one, but I am a little afraid of buying any tuners on eBay. God knows what you might be getting into. I thought that the free tune at AM was a custom one?

IDK I havent looked at them on AM. But it seems to me to get a "custom" tune you need a shop with a dyno to have it set for yor car. It doesent matter if you and another guy have the EXACT same stuff on the same year stang with the same options, the tune will be a little different from one to the next for a hundred and one variables. All the ads I have seen say comes with a custom tune and a fuel mileage tune and cane add up to threee more tunes, so I think thats what they are saying. I am gonna go to their site now and check it out.

I was just checking it out and it does appear they have an additional custom tune for free. I would call them up to see how that works. From what I understand the Livewire can be told if you have exhaust and intake or gears and a blower, or if you have a Terminator you can tell it what size pully it has. So since you can program that in yourself IDK what AM is gonna do to it. I still belive for a real custom tune you need a dyno and it cant just be mail order.

LaSota Racing is carrying the SCT X3 and offering 90 days of free email tunes with it. Not sure if they carry the Livewire, but might be something you would want to look into http://www.lasotaracing.com/mailorder.html
