hey guys, i was looking at the sct pro race package to tune my car myself. i already have a wideband and a sct tuner. now i was wondering my sct is a strategy flash and i know you can covert them so you can use it for a custom tune. do you know if i will be able to do this myself if i buy the prorace package or will i have to do it by taking it to a dealer? also have any of you guys used the pmas maf set up? i hurd there great for blow tru setups since you get the flang welded on the pipe itself and dont have to deal with the redusers messing up the flow.

You just buy the software (currently $400) and use the Xcal2 to datalog. The software is very easy to use.

Yes you can erase old tunes from your xcal2 programmer using the pro racer software. You use the pro software to make your tune. Then you load the tune onto your programmer. Then from the hand held programmer to your stang. Then you datalog to see what the AFR is.

all you need to reformat your SF xcal2 to a normal xcal2 is to head over to the SCT site and d/l Liveload.
Id recommend getting the PRP training cd as well from Don@Lasota.

388 for the PRP upgrade and the training cd.
http://www.lasotaracing.com/mailorder.html
He's 1 of the best around, had a buddy order the PRP from him and i was shocked at how close he had the base tune already dialed in.
I ended up ordering mine from Justin@VMP and it was very close as well.
Really either 1 of them are great to do business with.
