SCT tune?

I have started thinking the past couple of weeks about getting a SCT tune. I have tweecer right now, but I just can't get what I want out of my car. The idle is not the best, plus I can't get my wideband to work right.

The only negatives I can think of with the SCT tune is I will have to pay again if I ever change anything. But, the professionals would probably be able to get a safer better tune than I will.



I was sure that I was going to get the sct but now I am not sure.

I researched the choices of tuning alot. I spoke with, and was impressed with Don at www.lasotaracing.com - he was able to guess at my new combo close enough to get it to idle, and for an automatic car, that's impressive. It'll idle in gear even! That's just his first try. Once I get some good datalogs, he should be able to dial it in even better.

I personally don't have time to figure out a tuner as sophisticated as the Tweecer.

+1 for don He set me up with some tunes and the car idles pretty good. I havent had time to dattalog yet, but im sure it will only get better once I send him the files so he can adjust the tune.

Nacho (95vert) was telling me about Don from Lasota.

what do you send him for the initial tune before you send him back the datalogs?

cam specs? heads? list of all mods?

will a dyno sheet w/ air/fuel ratio be sufficient as a datalog?

I wouldn't jump ship just yet... anyone who can tune an SCT chip can just as easily write a tune for the TwEECer. If a tuner isn't familiar with the software it make take them a bit longer but it's almost exactly the same.
