Is the SCT tuner, the custum 4 bank chip worth the money. I know that alot of times chips dont do much, but was jsut wondering if this one would. The guy said that it would b about 20 whp with 93 octane, but i know alot of the time is BS. What do you guys think? Is it worth it? What other mod should i do for the cash? Thanks. BTW, my mods are X pipe, 40's, tri-axle shifter, CAI, and its dropped.

I would reccomend an Xcalibrator 2. I love mine and it gives you room for the future. You can adjust for different tires, gear, timing... all without needing a retune. Plus if you do more significant mods in the future you can have a dyno tune done using it.

Just a thought,
Jason

well , since i had some Octane issues i tried the 87 , 91 and finally 93 tune.First with the 87 tune , i didnt notice any gains only a bit of better throttle responce. With the 91 tune i noticed a bit power increase not THAT much , but it was very noticable. Now when i put in the 93 tune , i didnt feel any power increase at all.But soon realized thet i was totally wrong , Because when i raced my friend (same guy i raced with the 91 tune) i was abit infront of him. Where as with the 91 tune he was about 2 cars ahead.
I cant tell you how much HP i gaied since i never dynoed the car till this day
But the Xcal2 is totally worth it

I did mine with a PI intake so... not sure which helped more.. but together they felt like doing 4.10's in my 5.0. Big seat in the pants difference!
