Received my brand new SCT X3 with 3 custom BamaChips tunes today, packaging was great and the instructions were as easy as can be. First impressions? Nice 1998 Gt Auto with a few bolt ons and I definitely can feel a power increase, not only that, but the shifting is great now. When you punch it, there is very little delay, it just drops down and goes The only thing I'm a little disappointed in is the 1-2 Shift, I wish it would chirp harder! Sometimes I can get a chirp, but it's more the car's fault, not BamaChips. I guess that's what happens when you put 275's on the back of an NPI Auto GT Anyway, these are just my initial impressions, I will update when I get a chance to do a little more driving with the tune.

You can change your shift firmness (don't know how much it will help with an NPI) if you want more of a chirp. My car will scream the 1-2nd chirp (I can actual chirp her without even going WOT) and will even chirp third when on the highway.

Definitely, did some more driving and love the extra hp and hard shifts, my only complaint thus far is the shifts when trying to drive normal. It will always go up to 3,500 rpms unless I really baby it, which is a bit ridiculous, but I'll learn to work around it.

I think Doug at BamaChips knows enough about these cars to get the tune close enough to great, or at least much better than stock. Plus, there is absolutely no way I could justify the cost of a dyno session for a bolt on NPI automatic GT.
