I ordered mine from mustang tuning and gave them all the specifics of my car. I received today and loaded onto the computer. When I went to the customization screen where it lists all the user options I checked to see if it had my rear end correct and it was listed as stock so I changed to 4.10. It then uploaded the program. Did it upload a completey diffrent program and erase the tune. Also did not see the Tire Size Selection option. How do I know the tune worked? I installed my 4.10's today also so have no clue on the butt dyno if it's in their. Any help or another forum to look for info would be greatly appreciated. Or also a surefire way to know the custom tune is installed.

Thanks,
Nik

The manual I have isn't much. Mine is set up to load the 3.73 program with options. I'm going to say that you did load your tune with the 4.10 option. I'm not sure which program your xcal is using (extreme tune or Advantage 3.0). Depending on which one not all optiona are available. You can try going to www.sct.com/forums to set up an account. You'll need this for upgrades of your xcal. Pearl02.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Can you be more specific?

Watch the Flash demos on sctflash.com's forums. That may help.

Well I ordered it from Mustang Tuning. This is what I had to send them before they could send it to me.
Year and Model of your car
Computer code (Click here to locate your code)
Octane of Gas (The higher the octane the higher the gains!)
Rear and Transmission
Stock or Modified
Stock/H/X-Pipe Catalytic Converters or Not
Mufflers or Straight-through/Glasspack Style Exhaust
List of all modifications
Two-Step Box Rev Limiter RPM Range/MPH Trigger (Add-on Option Below 1999-2004 Manual Only, Uses One Tuning Bank)
Valet/Friend mode lets you set the RPM Range/MPH Cap when someone else is driving your car (Requires additional tune 1999+ Only)

So I received yesterday. Loaded the Tune that said 2002 Mustang 93+. Then it brought me to the user adjustability part. I went through to look at the options. Such as Rev Limit, Spark, Rear End Ratio, Tire Revolutions. I would have assumed they would have changed my Rear End Ratio to 4.10 but it was currently set to stock. So I changed it. It asked if I wanted to save and load. I said yes. So basically did it completely erase my custon tune and go with a stock tune w/ a 4.10 Gear Ratio. And is their any surefire way to know the custon tune is loaded.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but making end user adjustments like the gears shouldn't affect the custom tuning that was done. It should just make that adjustment and that's all...not reset everything else. One sure fire way to check your tune, load the 93 tune, fill 'er with 87 and wait for a loud knocking noise to come from your engine. Just kidding...please don't do that. Umm....if it loaded the 4.10 correction, the rest of the tune is loaded, you'll just have to trust it I guess. And you should know the 4.10 correction was loaded because your speedo shouldn't be off.

Well I checked the speedo by using the rpm calc yesterday. So I knew the gear change worked. I was just wondering if I erased the other tune. Or even how to know I loaded it correctly.

From what I understand... the programmer always loads your custom tune... the only thing u can change are the adjustable paramers but it should still load the tune everytime. I played with mine like u did but switched the injectors to #24's and I know it loaded. So, I Think you Should be good...
