this is NOT from personal experience but from what i've heard that the new Xcal2 is a bit better with more options then the Diablosport predator.

so why is the price of the diablo MORE !!!??

in Mustangtuning
Diablo predator $399
Xcal2 $374

just curious

dont forget that you can use "stangnet" as your coupon and get 5% off...that will make the 374.99 - 18.75 = ~$356 shipped

Get and Xcal from a reputable tuner. I dont think there is whole lot of difference between the Diable and Xcal but alot more people tune with SCT so you will be able to go more places.

can someone tell me where i can find some good INFO of how to use the xcal2 . I'm tired of searching . i really suck when it comes to tuning ...etc.. i wanna know everything about it before i order it.
They ask you to send info about all your mods. so they will include one tune that will go along with your mods when you buy the xcal2. So if this is the case , why will i need to play around with the options on the Xcal2 , i will just use the tune they will send me. right?

The tune(s) you have sent pre-loaded on the flash tuner will be close to being correct for your particular vehicle, but a custom tune based on actual dyno information is necessary to get the maximum power your vehicle is capable of. A custom tune can be done locally or by e-mail, and requires dyno info along with datalogging results from either an XCal 2 or Predator. For typical custom tuning, neither flash tuner has a distinct advantage over the other; be aware that most people who give you advice on this are going to say the one they happen to have is better.

I bought a predator from RPM outlet and all it did was make my car detonate a whole bunch. There are no predator dealers in town to do a custom tune, so I would have to rely on RPM to e-mail me a tune, try it on the dyno, then get them to make another one. This would cost me BUCKS on the dyno time.

There is an SCT X2 tuner in town. I've got an appointment to get it tuned on July 8th.

I'm returning the predator unless someone here wants it. $315.00 shipped including the PC interface kit. Only used once!

f**k i'm too confused with all this. I think i'm just gonna get the speedcal and adjust my speedometer for my 3.73 and NOT get a hand held tuner.I dont know how to use one , and i dont wanna mess anything up . And since there is no dyno place around here to help me out with ANYTHING ,i dont wanna risk any bull**** with tuning crap.
so imma do it old fashion style

If there's no dyno for you to use I wouldn't get a flash tuner either.

If he's going to use the factory tune there's no reason to use a tuner. The factory tune referred to is the one that comes stock on the vehicle. If you use the performance tune that comes pre-loaded on the tuner without going to a dyno you might run too lean; better to know than guess. If he installs the rest of the mods he has listed I can just about guarantee he will be too lean, even with the factory tune.

Mainly at WOT, and it must be done with a wideband monitor.
