Yeah they lost. But at least they made a great showing. And were the first team in 5 years to lose the superbowl and make the playoffs. Oh wait the team that lost the superbowl didn't make the playoffs.

I agree, think my neighbors think Im crazy after they heard me screaming after Gould hit the 50 yard game winner.

The world famous Choke-hawks. I didn't really care who won that game. And kickers still get no respect. The teams today are so good, it is always coming down to the kicker.

i love how everyone says that without romo's choke the seahawks would have lost.

did no one notice that there was time left on the clock? give me a break. seahawks still could have pulled it off, even if romo didnt choke.

seahawks won that game on their own.

against the bears....seahawks lost it more than the bears won it.

0 for 7 on 3rd and less than 3 yards. sad. the bears defense is NOT that good.

secondary blew it giving up insanely lucky 68 yard pass.

Oh yeah, much like how the Seahawks still could have won it against the Bears with time winding down but they choked? All they needed was a few more yards to put Brown in his kicking range and he failed misserably. I do not believe The Hawks could have came back to win.

Hasselbeck is not a good crunch time QB. Hes not that good of a QB altogether.

I would say he is more consistant than Rex Grossman was. How do you say "I didn't prepare for the game". That's his job.

Coulda woulda shooda , Well lets see hmmmm 0 for 7 on 3rd and less than 3yards. I think there defence was pretty good that night Bottom line they won and didnt choke. I have to admit I dont follow football all year round until the playoffs so im not that well versed as some but you dont have to be a rocket scientist to read between the lines.... no punt intended

The Bears defensive stats were better through the first half of the season (untill Grossman started putting them on the field for an extra 10-15 min / game) than the world champs with Dent, McMichael, Singeltary, etc.... so they are much better than most give them credit for.

Wright on Whens there next game saturday or sunday ? I have to watch it When I Was a kid back in chicago well just a few miles from chicago in a suburb called Arlington heights I used to live wright next door to Walter Payton that used to play for the bears as im sure you already know but anyway he was so kool what a nice guy and very down to earth even though he was like a celeberty. He would sign footballs and just give them away, I really wish I had one now. What shame he past away . Anyway go Bears

Romo droppin' the ball was not the only time the Seahawks lucked out that game... There were plenty of other chances for them to lose. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Seahawks fan, but the Cowboy's let them play the Bears by not puttin' their heads in the game. Again, don't get me wrong, I'll take luck over skill anyday, but they really didn't deserve to get as far as they did.

Call it luck call it what you want. Sometimes the football gods smile on you. Sometimes the other team scores despite being 2 yards away from the goal line. Personally I think they deserved what they got. If the cowboys played poorly. You cannot be down on the seahawks for taking advantage.

Interesting theory however luck and skill are all tied in together. I'll use this as the example:

Ohio State University
Michigan
Florida
USC

People claimed that the OSU/Michigan game would show who the best was in the NCAA. People claimed that USC was overrated and couldn't touch either Michigan OR OSU but could destroy Florida and that Florida was also way overrated.

Well, OSU beat Michigan. Michigan went to play the "poorly underrated" Trojans who mopped up the field with them. OSU got completely destroyed by Florida, yet Florida was clearly the least favorite. People were so convinced that OSU would destroy the Gators. Now people are all like OS-WHO? I would like to see a Florida/USC matchup out of curiosity. This also left out Boise State out of any BIG bowl picture with a completely perfect record, the only team in the NCAA to go completely undefeated. True, they played a bunch of nobodies except for Oregon State and Oklahoma in their bowl game but they still proved that they were worthy of a shot when the BCS analyzes numbers. How did they get left out? It's a bit odd.

It's all tied in together in one way or another. Some teams have good days, some have bad. People make mistakes and others cash in on it. Another example is the botched Oregon VS Oklahoma game. Oklahoma won that game if you factor in the botched call that should not have happened, but it did and neither team was at fault for it. However, Oregon was able to capitalize on it and Oklahoma was not able to stop them. So, in all reality Oklahoma flubbed up and got dominated. However, that bad call must have been a morale killer for OU.

I know I would feel pretty pissed off, I would feel cheated, and I would feel down which might affect my game play. It's hard to shake off something like that and Oregon was able to dominate at the last minute when it counted (when it shouldn't have) and ended up showing us some amazing game play. If they would have been that consistent all season as they were the last few minutes of that game, we could have seen them in one of the top bowl games. They started playing very well but their game play went down the toilet. It happens to everyone and it happened to Romo. It's a part of the game. One could argue that Romo made a mistake, one could argue that Seattle got lucky as hell.
