I have a 10W7 in my Mustang now, and when I built the sealed box, we added some stuffing from a pillow to help richen the sound as per the suggestion of a shop near me. Since then, I have been told that this is not a good idea, and that it is actually hurting the sound. I have the trunk apart for mods right now, and I am wondering if I should remove the pillow stuffing from inside the sealed box prior to installing the system again. I only have a few inches at the rear of the box, but I would appreciate any feedback that can be offered.

Thanks in advance.

I've been working with stereo's for 9 years professionaly and have never heard of anything bad to do with adding stuffing. It gives you a nice, smoother sound(generally). The only time you shouldn't is if you're using a box that's too big already,as the stuffing will make the sub think it's in an even bigger one.
