I have a 302 that im putting a fresh set of gt40 heads on and need to know what sealer i put on the threads?

also is it only the short ones that get the sealer?

I was thinking rtv or teflon tape. i dont want to wait any more for crap to to finish this engine. so i figure ther must be something to use as a sub for the arp thread sealant.
thanks

Only the short bolts get sealer since they go into the water jacket and will seep coolant if they aren't coated with the correct sealant.
I asked the guy at Powered By Ford speed shop ( www.poweredbyford.com)what to use since they were out of the ARP lube, and teflon pipe dope was what he said they used. I tried the teflon pipe dope and it works good: I got it from Home Depot.

I used some thread sealant that comes from any parts store; which is probably the same as pipe dope. No leaks yet after 9k miles.
