Seam Welding

I am building up a 68 FB, and want to stiffing and reinforce it as much as posible, I have the Dr Gas shock tower kit, and TCP Sub Frames, and plan on getting at least a 6 or 8 point cage, but i know you can seam weld everything as well to reinforce the factory tack welds. I did a search on the forum with little luck, are there only certain areas you need to do? what specifica ares shold be seam welded, I can make a guess of where i think they need to go just wondering what other people have done,. If your going to do it, why not do it everywhere, its not like it will become weaker if you put on an extra seam? If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right!

Ok, how much weight do you thin thats adds? not like its a big deal the weight is low on the car, and i will more twice the hp i needs, I am just curious.

Spot welded lap joints are VERY strong if they are in good condition so I do not see structural benefit to seal welding. On the other hand if done correctly on a clean dry lap it will eliminate the corrosion that can happen to those joints this would be a replacement for seal sealer but would be a lot of work and would take a long time. I would concentrate on locations that will be exposed to the weather first. It is my opinion that it would be better to add materials where they would do the most good as mentioned above.

i plan on going with tank armor as well but i'm gonna go a step further than you did and build an angle iron frame for the top side as well so that the tank and the tank armor actually sits down in the angle iron frame and then with the steel strips underneath as well. should be strong enough that the car will collapse around the gas tank without crushing it
