I am ready to buy the Steeda Sports for lowering and I noticed that Tokico has a different p/n for lowered Mustangs. I called Steeda and they were inconclusive if I should put on the Fox version or the 99-04 version of the shocks and struts.

So my fellow Stangers whose wisdom is always appreciated...Should I put the standard Illumina or the Fox body version on my 02 GT with the Steeda Sport springs? The Fox being 1 inch shorter will have extra travel but do I need it? The Steeda Sports adverstise 1.25 inch drop so it seems like a good idea but I need to know if it really is or not.

Does anyone have the Steeda Sports with the Fox versionTokico Illumina's or HP's??

Thanks for your help!

Bob

Oops!

Call maximum motorsports and pretend you were going to buy everything from them. I asked them the same question once and they told me that the fox stuff somehow was a better idea because the 99-04 ones( front only) would be compressed a little already because the vehichle was lowered or something to that effect. They said you could use the 99-04s, but it was easier on foxes. I was asking about H&R supersports and they were like 1.5-1.75 lower in the front. I dont know how low your steedas would be to have an effect. I ended up buying the 99-04 ones because I went with the Mach/Tokico set up(cheaper).

i used the bilsteins off my 93 on my 00gt lowered with steeda springs, i had upgraded the 93 to koni yellow DA's and figured why buy 2 sets when i could use the old bilsteins on the 00gt. Worked out fine for me.
