Hey all,

I'm the guy that's grafting ( correction,..has grafted) the front and rear end from a 68 onto my fox.

Since I don't have a real 68 or 69 to reference it against, how do the seat belts configure? Seems I recall that there was a separate belt clipped along the headliner for the shoulder harness, and a separate lap belt that was kept in place (on the mach1 at least) in a dedicated cup in the console.

Anyone care to help me out?

Get belted

Yup, you remember right. In my 68 there is a wire clip that the shoulder belt wraps around. Here is a really poor image that I found:

then the belt end fits into a plastic retainer that is part of the anchor that is attached to the roof right above the quarter panel window (mine is a coupe). Couldn't find a picture right away of that piece (I had a hard time finding any interior shots that showed the shoulder belt).

As for the buckle part of it - if you had a console it would fit in there. Otherwise it just sat down between the seat and the transmission tunnel. I hope that my rambling made sense to you.

if i have none of that stuff ( no clips, retainers or belts) Have you a source to get all of it repro?

Laurel mtn mustang is where I get my stuff, but when I called today w/ questions,..he acted like I was asking for stuff that didn't exist.
