So, if you have seen the pictures of my blue car's driver's floor pan and it's mighty cracks
Do y'all think this is a good idea, or waste of money?https://lmr.com/item/LRS-11135RP/79-93-Mustang-Floor-Pan-Reinforcement-Panel

I'll be ordering my floor pan soon and was thinking if i want this in there, this is a great time to weld it in too.

What kinda driving do you plan to do with the car?

But it's cheap, and based on your skills I'd assume a easy install

IDK why you'd do that. How are they justifying the plates?

With my essex V6 beast under the hood? My driving should be pretty sedate. I was thinking though, that the PO had put these cracks there with that wheezing little engine.

It looks easy enough to weld in, I should probably be able to install it along with the rear seat bolt brackets before i ever cut and weld in the pan itself.

I'd be interested in knowing why the cracks developed, if it was in the seat attachment area I'd guess it was driver size more than anything. With that thought and knowing that these cars do flex and considering the insane power your going to have with that V6 powerhouse I'd vote to install the brace, probably on both sides? Mabe subframe it just for added safety?

I Vite for the plates....and subframe connectors. The previous owner must've been a big fella. Its a shame...but look at the positive sides.

You're saving a car the rest of us would've parted out.

You benefit from the added rigidity.

That stuff had to get cut out to do the floors.

I can see the neon sign now.

If you're ordering new pans I thought those plates were already attached? I thought they made the repops match the 93 metal and all its updates?

Not these plates. If you get the full pan, it'll include the seat bolt brackets though.

I'm sayin once the floor rusts though there's no integrity left to keep it from cracking all to hell and back. (Although I'll bet that Jabba the Hutt drove this car while he was visiting some of the descendants of his "Ancient Alien" Egyptian cousins)

He, and the rust through is why your floor is all cracked.

Blame it on the Hutt.
