I know this should be a simple task. I have searched.

However, I'm having an issue with the front bolts/nuts securing the front seats. The bolt/stud is spinning when I try to remove the 15mm nut. I'm new to the car and I am unsure if this is in fact, a bolt or a stud and how I can gain access from underneath the car to get a wrench on the bolt or something to stop a stud from turning? After my quick inspection, I can't seem to find anything underneath the car? Any help would be much appreciated.

In addition, if you have any tips on making this task easier, please share your experiences.

My new carpet has arrived and I am eager to install it!

on mine the front studs come out with the bolts , so keep turning , you can not get to the studs from the bottom of the car . hope this helps

A lil elbow grease and they should come right out.

Thanks, I will give that a try. I will confess, I did not continue to turn those on my first attempt.

It should have bolts in the rear and studs in front. Ideally the studs shouldn't come out but they did on mine also. I suspect the idea behind using the stud/bolt combo was to easily locate the seats in place during assembly. No big deal if they come out or not as long as you get them back in.

Yep the stud always comes out on my front ones. No biggie
