Someone on here has done it ... and I think it's awesome. I want to do this someday as well.

They did not, however, buy a "kit" to do it. I seem to remember them custom fabbing the brackets to do it. This is just the person I remember doing it .... so there may be an "already fabbed" kit out there that you can get.

EDIT: BTW, I think they used the factory seat frames/brackets on the new seats.

I have the same problem, 6' 4 also, You have to modifiy the stock seat track to mount to what ever seat you buy, it takes a little welding and fabbing to do it right, but its not hard. Just dont catch the seats on fire
when welding.

Corbau's entire seat line allows you to keep the power seat rack. When you buy a seat, just get the adapter brakets that you mount between the new seat and the rack. I've been running a Corbau forza seat on the drivers side for the last two years and I still ahve my seat rack and it was a quick install too. If the seat bolt patterns are the same as corbeau on other seat brands (which I'm not sure they are) you could prolly use the corbau brackets w/ other seats. Also, w, my seat there is tons of legroom however its a non-reclining heavily bolstered bucket seat. Sitting in it feels almost like getting your but stuck in the toilet (I know I have done it as a child). I'm 5' 11" and w/ the seat all the way back I almost cant reach the pedals. But then again almost everyone hates my seat except for the most hardcore of people. Anyways look up corbeaus website and maybe you'll find a seat you like although before you buy anything I would recommend you sit in it first. It sux to get something you dont like or is uncomfortable.

i didn't know corbeau made an adapter

i made mine, just removed it from the old seat, made an adapter out of a piece of steel, drilled a few holes and vuala. (adapter being a probably (don't remember) 2" wide 14" long piece with a few holes and some G8 bolts)

Problems: might be too high for someone so tall. I'm 5'11'' and my knees are pretty close to the wheel (i have the wheel about parallel with the ground though)

i also hae done this...i re-used the stock sliders with power and just drilled them out according to the holes for the bolts in the bottom of the new seats...that would work well for you since your tall, you can drill them out farther back on the rails to increase leg room...heres a few pics of them installed...

those are REALLY NICE LOOKING SEATS.

I'm very particular with seats in stangs, but those look comfortable...
most racing seats look awkward to me.
what are those? summits? corbeau?
